Site Engineer

Site Engineer required for 3 months on groundworks project in Rugeley. Site Engineer will be required to set out for bolts, bases, drainage, utilities, slab, foundations, S278, sewers and externals. The project is a £25 Million new build industrial unit. Site Engineer will preferably supply own kit and will have laptop and CAD package. Site Engineer role: • Setting out and quality checks for structural steelwork, drainage works, underpinning, earthworks and excavations, groundworks • Check setting out information • Establish primary and secondary dimensional control • Check and record control points • Complete Permit to Load/Strike • Requisition materials for in situ concrete works and obtain approvals • Supervise concrete deliveries inc pre and post-pour Inspections • Maintain site diary inc maintaining good housekeeping on site • Manage and co-ordinate construction of all structural elements • Set out and maintain structural accuracy and main and internal gridlines inc levels • Implement the Project Management Plan, engineering procedures and practices • Ensure that appropriate quality records are being produced • Understand and interpret engineering drawings and specifications • Compilation of as-built drawings and create construction drawings for information • Experience with AutoCad and Total Station • Compilation of QA sheets for sub and super structural elements • Advise on buildability issues as required • Assist to prepare scope of works and reports as required • Carry out site surveys, levelling and setting out • Working out cut and fill quantities. • Managing subcontractors, Cut and Fill /Groundworker/RC /Steel inc checking setting out of subcontractor Site Engineer MUST be able to provide two recent references
