We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring GP tojoin our dedicated and forward- thinking team, who is willing to help usdevelop our services further and make a positive difference to our patients
Main duties of the job
Clinical sessions, 1 administrative session per week
Consultationsare a mix of face-to-face and telephone appointments
Dutydoctor responsibility minimum of one on-call day per week
Homevisits occasionally required though infrequent as these are carried out bymembers of our advanced ACP/ANP team
Reviewingand actioning tasks, administrative queries, blood results, referrals to otherservices etc.
Providingclinical supervision to our nursing, ACP/ANP teams during on-call sessions.

GMS / Dispensing and Training Practice
- High QOF achievement and offering a wide range of Enhanced Services inc. minor surgery, joint injections and coils/implants. We host our PCNs Extended Access clinics.
- Three GP Partners
- Four advanced team colleagues (ACP/ANPs)
- Experienced nursing team supporting patients with chronic long term conditions
- Supportive non-clinical management and staff team
- PCN ARRS colleagues including pharmacists, physiotherapist, care co-ordinator, social prescriber, wellbeing team
- 1 of 4 active Practices of our local Primary Care Network (Wisbech )
- Recently achieved Training Practice status where we will be supporting trainee GPs
- Clinical system is SystmOne with Ardens templates
- CQC rated Good
- 5 weeks annual leave and 1 week study leave per annum pro rata as part of a competitive package
Job responsibilities
To produceand comply with a work plan developed in partnership with the Partners andPractice Manager to ensure all Practice and other work is deliveredappropriately and safely.
To undertakeappropriate clinical risk assessments and work with the wider team to implementmanagement strategies for risks identified.
Toparticipate in activities required to assess compliance with CQC fundamentalstandards.
To providehigh quality medical services in the context of general practice to thepatients registered with Clarkson Surgery.
To provide afull range of services in line with the agreed requirements of the PracticesNHS contract including the quality and outcomes framework (QOF) and any localenhanced services.
To provideany services as required for the Primary Care Network agreement includingshared QOF standards and service specifications.
To provideappropriate care and services to patients in all age ranges and levels ofhealth care needs.
To respondto medical/health problems presented by patients on the registered listincluding history taking, diagnosis, investigation, treatment and referral asappropriate.
To providemanagement of long-term conditions in line with national guidelines andpathways.
To read andinterpret test results ordered by you and other team members taking appropriateaction based on the findings.
To provideappropriate health promotion and preventative health care advice to allpatients attending the Practice, enabling self management.
To prescribegenerically for patients as appropriate to need (using our Practice formulary)and provide appropriate clinical rationale with support from the MedicinesManagement Team.
To carry outappropriate administrative and other duties in line with the needs of thePractice including referral to other services, maintenance of records, managingregisters etc.
To maintainclinical records either written or computer based in line with professionalcode and requirements utilising appropriate coding.
To work inline with appropriate Practice policies and procedures including humanresources, safeguarding adults and children etc.
To undertakeappropriate audit in practice to identify clinical quality issues and markersand define processes to improve clinical outcomes.
To take partin appropriate R&D and audit process with Clarkson Surgery as agreed inline with practice priorities and Partner/Practice management agreement.
Assistmanagement with maintaining compliance with agreed standards.
To promoteand implement all Practice policies and procedures.
In thecourse of your employment, you will have access to confidential informationrelating to Clarkson Surgery and our patients.You are required to exercise due consideration in processing suchinformation and maintain confidentiality Clarkson Surgery and our patients.
The postholder will obtain, process and/or use information in line with current GDPRrequirements.
To participatein the assessment of the effectiveness of the health care provided by thePractice, such as auditing records by agreement with management.
To ensureour patient rights are protected.
To promoteand participate in delivering a high standard of care within our Practice.

Person Specification
Qualifications
- Is currently GMC MRCGP registered
- Has completed a UK VTS training or a working GP in a UK Primary
- Can provide a certificate of completion of training
- Is currently registered on the UK Primary Medical Performers List
- Is able to work in a pressurised environment
- Believes in our vision of providing high quality, locally relevant primary care, and who wants to actively engage in our delivery of that vision
- Has a passion for medicine, learning and finding solutions or new ways of working - whatever stage you're at in your career,
- Is excited by the prospect of embracing new technologies and keen to transform the way we deliver care and making a positive difference to the lives of our patients.
- Qualified or experience in or interest in learning about women's health including fitting and removing coils and implants.
Experience
- Experience of working in a highly pressurised GP Surgery
