Brief
M&E Technician needed for a large, well-known Facilities Management organisation based in Lewisham who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded M&E Technician that takes pride in their work with an in-depth knowledge of maintaining and repairing building services plant, including HVAC, AHUs, fan coil units, pumps, and medical support systems.
The successful candidate would desirably have a relevant qualification - i.e. level 3/NVQ3 and technical certificate, advanced apprenticeship, or older qualifications such as C&G part 2/ part B etc. and have a keen interest in M&E Engineering. If you have commercial experience in a hospital environment that would be a plus!

What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the M&E Technician will include:
Apply your mechanical expertise to maintain and repair hospital building services plant, including HVAC, AHUs, fan coil units, pumps, and medical support systems.
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, and minor installation works with strict adherence to health technical memoranda (HTMs) and statutory regulations.
Support basic electrical maintenance tasks such as emergency lighting, smoke ventilation systems, controls, and medical electrical interfaces.
Participate in a 24-hour on-call rota providing emergency cover and respond promptly to critical clinical plant breakdowns.What experience you need to be the successful M&E Technician:
Experienced and skilled in mechanical maintenance, particularly HVAC and associated hospital systems.
Competent with electrical maintenance related to emergency systems and controls.
Able to work independently and as part of a team delivering safe, compliant service in a hospital environment.
Comfortable participating in on-call duties and emergency response.
Committed to maintaining accurate records and following safe working systems, risk assessments, and company procedures.This role requires evidence of the right to work in the UK. Applicants may be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks as applicable.
