Why Join Us? £43,000 – £50,000 starting salary (DOE) Company van and fuel card Door-to-door pay – no unpaid travel Overtime rates (1.5x & 2x) Career progression and manufacturer training opportunities Company pension scheme – 5% employee contribution matched by 5% employer contribution 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing by up to 5 additional days with length of service) Fully equipped with uniform, PPE, phone, and tablet Friendly, multilingual team Regular company socials and team events The Role You’ll service, maintain, and install a variety of commercial catering equipment across commercial kitchens and bakeries, ensuring our clients’ operations remain smooth, efficient, and compliant. Qualifications & Experience Proven experience as a Commercial Catering Engineer Strong electrical fault-finding skills on commercial catering equipment Extensive experience servicing and repairing equipment from leading manufacturers, including Unox, Rational, Merrychef, Lincat, Hatco, Maidaid, Instanta, Menumaster, FriFri, and Classeq Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, BTEC, or equivalent) desirable; proven industry experience will also be considered Full UK driving licence Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance, warranty work, and reactive repairs Diagnose and resolve electrical, plumbing, and mechanical faults Install and commission new equipment Maintain van stock efficiently Keep accurate service records using PDA/tablet systems Attend training sessions and team meetings Support colleagues and contribute positively to the wider team What We're Looking For Strong technical skills in electrical and plumbing systems Proven fault-finding ability using wiring diagrams and technical documentation Experience working on a broad range of commercial catering equipment Competence using electronic devices, digital platforms, and software to record jobs, order parts, and communicate with the team Willingness to travel across London and surrounding areas Flexibility for occasional out-of-hours work Ability to pass an enhanced DBS check Excellent customer service skills Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset Hours & Pay Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm, plus overtime opportunities On-call rota: £160 standby allowance (1 week in 5) Overtime rates: Monday–Saturday: 1.5x Sundays & Bank Holidays: 2x Join Caterglobe Ltd Whether you're an experienced Commercial Catering Engineer looking for a better work-life balance, a more supportive team, or an employer that genuinely values its people, we'd love to hear from you.
