Through our Business Recovery team, we support businesses and stakeholders facing financial challenges, delivering practical solutions and expert advice across insolvency and restructuring engagements.
As we continue to grow our presence in Scotland, we are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Insolvency Manager to join our Glasgow office and play a key role in the development of our Business Recovery team.
As Senior Insolvency Manager, you will manage a varied portfolio of corporate insolvency and restructuring assignments while supporting the growth of the Business Recovery service offering across Glasgow and the wider Scottish market. You will work closely with Directors and Partners, providing technical expertise, managing key stakeholder relationships and contributing to business development activity.
This is an opportunity for an experienced insolvency professional to take on a senior leadership role within a growing and ambitious team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of insolvency and restructuring cases from appointment through to closure.
- Lead and oversee a range of case types including:
- Administrations
- Creditors' Voluntary Liquidations (CVLs)
- Members' Voluntary Liquidations (MVLs)
- Compulsory Liquidations
- Bankruptcies
- Individual Voluntary Arrangements (IVAs)
- Ensure cases are progressed efficiently and in line with statutory deadlines and regulatory requirements.
- Review investigations, asset realisations, creditor correspondence and statutory reporting.
- Maintain strong technical and regulatory compliance standards across all assignments.
- Act as a trusted point of contact for clients, lenders, solicitors, creditors and other professional stakeholders.
- Support and mentor managers, administrators and junior colleagues within the team.
- Review team output and provide technical guidance and coaching.
- Assist Directors and Partners on complex assignments and strategic projects.
- Build relationships with key referrers and professional contacts across Glasgow and Scotland.
- Identify opportunities for new business and support wider business development initiatives.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Significant experience within corporate insolvency and restructuring.
- Demonstrable experience managing a portfolio of insolvency cases independently.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK insolvency legislation and processes.
- Experience leading, developing and mentoring teams.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills.
- Commercial awareness and a client-focused approach.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- JIEB is desirable but not essential
