Night Shift Maintenance Technician Location: London Salary: £40,000 per annum Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday | 21:00

- 05:00 A well-established and growing food manufacturing business is looking to recruit a Night Shift Maintenance Technician to join its engineering team at its London site.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer with both mechanical and electrical maintenance experience who is looking to join a successful manufacturer operating within a fast-paced production environment.
The Role Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance and responding to breakdowns to ensure production equipment operates efficiently throughout the night shift.
Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on production machinery.
Replace sensors, relays and other electrical components.
Carry out basic wiring repairs and replace plugs where required.
Fault-find and troubleshoot equipment to minimise downtime.
Maintain and repair conveyors, wrapping machines and associated production equipment.
Support continuous improvement activities to improve machine reliability and performance.
Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with health and safety procedures.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing or food production environment.
A good understanding of both mechanical and electrical maintenance.
Experience working on conveyors, wrapping machines or similar automated production equipment.
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
An NVQ Level 2 in Engineering (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
Practical maintenance experience is more important than holding full engineering qualifications.
TIG welding experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
The ability to work independently on a permanent night shift.
What's on Offer £40,000 per annum.
Permanent Monday to Friday night shift (21:00-05:00).
No weekend working.
