Class 1 HGV driver

Job Type: Full-Time Temporary/Ongoing Intrepid Global is recruiting experienced Class 1 (CE) HGV Drivers. The Role As a Class 1 Driver, you'll be responsible for completing planned deliveries and collections while ensuring all transport operations are carried out safely, efficiently and in line with current legislation as a HGV Driver. Key Responsibilities * Safely operate Class 1 (Category CE) articulated vehicles. * Complete scheduled deliveries and collections across the UK. * Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects immediately. * Ensure all loads are correctly secured and transported safely. * Complete all delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately. * Comply with DVSA regulations, Drivers' Hours Rules and the Working Time Directive. * Maintain accurate digital tachograph records at all times. * Communicate effectively with the transport office regarding journey progress, delays or incidents. * Keep vehicles clean, roadworthy and professionally presented as a Class 1 driver. What We're Looking For To be successful in this role, you'll need: * A valid UK Category CE (Class 1) driving licence. * A valid Driver CPC qualification. * A valid Digital Tachograph Card. * Good knowledge of UK road transport legislation and drivers' hours regulations. * A strong commitment to health and safety. * Excellent time management and organisational skills. * Good communication and customer service skills. * The ability to work independently while also being part of a wider transport team. * Flexibility to work varying start times, with occasional nights away when required.
