About the role
Our well established client in the Darlington area, have the opportunity to offer two experienced and enthusiastic labourers a position within their kitchen and bathroom rewire team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a social housing project to improve community standards.
The experience expected from applicants, as well as additional skills and qualifications needed for this job are listed below.
Monday - Friday | 8AM-4PM
The role includes but is not limited to: Prepare work areas by removing fixtures, lifting floorboards, accessing ceiling voids, and protecting furniture and flooring.
Chase walls and lift floor coverings to enable cable installation.
Install or remove containment systems, trunking, conduit, cable trays, and fixings under supervision where required.
Carry out drilling, chasing, patching, and making-good works following completion of electrical installations.
Mix and apply plaster or filler to repair chased walls and damaged surfaces to an acceptable standard.
Remove waste materials and maintain a clean, safe, and tidy working environment throughout the project.
Load, unload, transport, and organise tools, materials, and equipment.
Identify and report defects, hazards, or issues that may affect the progress or safety of the work.
Follow method statements, risk assessments, and all health and safety procedures, including safe systems of work and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Work respectfully within occupied homes, ensuring disruption to residents is kept to a minimum. xwzovoh
Communicate professionally with tenants, customers, colleagues, and supervisors.
Complete work to agreed quality standards and within allocated timescales
Must have Full UK driving licence Must be available to start immediately
