About the Role
Teaching Personnel are proud to be working in partnership with a warm and welcoming village primary school in the Great Eccleston area to recruit a dedicated ASC Support Practitioner.
This rewarding role involves supporting a pupil in Year 2 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), helping them access learning, develop social and communication skills, and feel confident within the classroom environment.
✅ Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with ASC
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support
- Implement strategies for communication, emotional regulation, and sensory needs
- Adapt classroom activities to meet individual learning requirements
- Promote inclusion, independence, and positive behaviour
- Support pupils during transitions and throughout the school day
Requirements
- Experience working with children with ASC or additional needs (education or care settings)
- A patient, calm, and empathetic approach
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s development
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential
