About the Role

Teaching Personnel are proud to be working in partnership with a warm and welcoming village primary school in the Great Eccleston area to recruit a dedicated ASC Support Practitioner.

This rewarding role involves supporting a pupil in Year 2 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), helping them access learning, develop social and communication skills, and feel confident within the classroom environment.

✅ Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with ASC
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support
Implement strategies for communication, emotional regulation, and sensory needs
Adapt classroom activities to meet individual learning requirements
Promote inclusion, independence, and positive behaviour
Support pupils during transitions and throughout the school day

Requirements

Experience working with children with ASC or additional needs (education or care settings)
A patient, calm, and empathetic approach
Strong teamwork and communication skills
A genuine passion for supporting children’s development
Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential
