Quality Inspector

Pipework Quality Inspector (ASME & X-Ray Experience Required) Location: Dudley Job Type: Permanent Salary: Competitive up to £40,000 I'm currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering client for an experienced Pipework Quality Inspector to support a number of high-profile industrial projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional with a strong background in pipework fabrication, ASME standards, Radiographic Testing (RT/X-Ray), and welding documentation. The Role You'll be responsible for ensuring all pipework fabrication and welding activities meet client specifications and industry standards, working closely with fabrication, welding, and project teams to maintain the highest levels of quality throughout the project. We're looking for candidates with experience in: * Pipework quality inspection within industrial, process, or manufacturing environments. * Working to ASME B31.3 and ASME Section IX standards. * Reviewing and verifying WPS, PQR, and Welder Qualification Records (WPQ/WQT). * Interpreting Radiographic Testing (RT/X-Ray) reports and other NDT documentation. * Inspecting weld fit-up, fabrication, and final assemblies. * Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, isometrics, and fabrication documentation. * Producing quality documentation, inspection reports, and NCRs. Ideal Candidate * Proven experience as a Pipework Quality Inspector. * Strong understanding of welding processes and quality control procedures. * Knowledge of NDT methods, particularly RT/X-Ray. * CSWIP 3.1 or equivalent inspection qualification would be highly advantageous. * Excellent communication and organisational skills with a proactive approach to quality.
