They carry a wide range of packaging materials, offering solutions to industries including FMCG, eCommerce, Electronics, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, fulfilment & many more.
Responsibilities
As Account Manager, you will cover the Central Belt & Ayrshire, working with a dedicated internal co‑ordinator to develop the existing customer base and grow business. You will manage a portfolio of existing customers, provide service reviews, and grow usage. Planning and organising your time effectively will be a core part of the role. You must be outgoing, approachable and skilled at building lasting relationships with key customers.
Key Duties
- Work with a dedicated internal co‑ordinator, requiring excellent communication and teamwork.
- Create and implement a business plan for the allocated territory to maximise business development activities and deliver excellent customer service and support.
- Set sales and gross profit forecasts.
- Maintain and develop existing key accounts, whilst also identifying prospective companies and working to make them customers.
- Meet regularly with customers face to face.
- Use and update a bespoke CRM system to follow up all leads, enquiries and quotes.
- Provide a consultative approach, creating effective solutions to meet customers’ needs.
- Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of all packaging solutions and the full product range.
Qualifications & Skills
We are looking for an experienced account management/business development professional within the packaging industry with a proven track record of win‑back or upsell. You should be an effective negotiator, able to build strong relationships through first‑class communication and influencing skills. You will enjoy adding value to customers and have a recent history of success in a similar role. Integrity and ensuring customer satisfaction are essential.
