APP Scams Consultant - London - August Start Date Job description We are recruiting for a APP Scams Consultant to join our client, a professional services firm operating in the accountancy and business advisory sector. This is a contract opportunity, offering an excellent day rate, employed via an Umbrella company. About the role: You will be working in the APP scams team, within the PSR’s Policy department. The PSR put in place a world-leading APP fraud reimbursement policy in October 2024. In July 2026, Frontier Economics published an independent evaluation of our APP scams policies. The team is now reviewing elements of the policies, taking into account the findings of that review. We will be issuing a consultation in December 2026.  Key responsibilities include; Lead and contribute to the delivery of policy projects and analysis, independently and as part of a team, including overseeing the work of more junior colleagues. Work as part of multi-disciplinary project teams, building relationships with policy, economist, legal and communications colleagues, delivering high quality work. Oversee and use robust policy and economic analysis to manage the development of policy. Draft briefings and papers to explain complex issues, often within tight timeframes, and present policy recommendations to the PSR leadership. Be a role model and share your knowledge and best practice with more junior colleagues. Essential: Knowledge of financial services/regulatory sector Experience of working in a policy or regulatory environment. Experience of project delivery – including ability to lead workstreams, plan and work to deadlines, and understand risks and opportunities. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to distil complex issues into succinct messages and present confidently to a variety of internal and external stakeholders Additional Information: Location: London Duration: 4 – 5 months
