We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm & Emergency Lighting Service Engineer to join a dedicated team covering the York area. About the Role As a Fire Alarm & Emergency Lighting Service Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, fault-finding, and repairing a range of fire alarm and emergency lighting systems across commercial and industrial sites. You will play a key role in ensuring clients' systems remain compliant, operational, and fit for purpose while delivering exceptional levels of customer service. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance on fire alarm and emergency lighting systems Respond to service call-outs, diagnose faults, and complete repairs efficiently Conduct system testing, inspections, and remedial works in line with industry standards Complete and maintain accurate service reports, risk assessments, and associated documentation Provide technical advice and recommendations to customers where required Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements Support audits, inspections, and accreditation activities as required Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicle stock levels Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives What We're Looking For: Essential: Proven experience servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems Experience with emergency lighting systems Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills Good knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics Excellent customer-facing and communication skills Full UK driving licence Desirable: Experience servicing and maintaining CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems Installation and commissioning experience across fire and security systems What's in it for You?
