Management Accountant

Job Title: Management Accountant Location: London Contract Type: Fixed-term (3–4 months) Start Date: Immediate Working Pattern: Full-time – Flexible working (2 days WFH) About the Role We are seeking two qualified and motivated Management Accountants to join an FE college's Finance team on a fixed-term contract for 3–4 months, with an immediate start required. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced finance environment, supporting key financial processes and reporting. Key Responsibilities * Prepare and produce monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness * Perform balance sheet reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies * Complete income reconciliations and investigate variances * Carry out bank reconciliations * Support the preparation of year-end accounts * Assist with financial analysis and reporting * Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial procedures Key Requirements * Qualified Management Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) * Experience in a similar role, with college/FE sector experience preferred * Strong hands-on experience in: * Balance sheet reconciliations * Income reconciliations * Bank reconciliations * Month-end and year-end processes Skills and Competencies * Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders (internal and external), both verbally and in writing * Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism * A collaborative team player who can work co-operatively and follow instructions * Good IT skills, including MS Office (especially Excel) and CMS systems * Ability to use, or quickly learn, FE sector-specific finance systems Apply today and one of our consultants will be in touch.
