SALARY: £36,363 - £39,152 per annum TYPE: Fixed-term contract until 31 March 2028 HOURS: Full time - Flexible working is permitted, subject to the needs of the service LOCATION: Ipswich, Suffolk Supply Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Civic and Projects Officer for a fixed term contract role in Ipswich. Main Purpose of the Role * To support the overall management of the Democratic Services Team, reporting directly to the Democratic Services Manager. The postholder will have particular responsibility for the Mayoralty, including day-to-day operations, civic events, and charity events, administrative processes relating to Councillor Support. and logistical arrangements for Elections. Main Duties and Responsibilities 1. To oversee the day-to-day operation of the Mayoral Service. Administrative support for the Mayoral Inbox and Diary will be provided by the wider Democratic Services Team. 2. To be responsible for the planning, organisation, and delivery of Mayoral events, including civic and charity events. 3. To provide line management for the Council’s Mayoral Team, including casual staff, in accordance with Human Resources policies, procedures, and management competencies, while actively promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion. 4. To manage the Mayoral budget(s), including monitoring expenditure, preparing reports, and producing budget estimates in accordance with the Council’s financial procedures.
