About the role
Our client is a leading manufacturer and is looking to recruit an experienced Press Operator to join their production team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience operating CNC press machinery who takes pride in producing high-quality work while maintaining excellent safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
* Read and interpret CAD drawings, technical specifications, and customer information.
* Programme and operate CNC press machinery to accurately fold and bend sheet metal components.
* Set up tooling in accordance with engineering drawings and production requirements.
* Inspect finished components to ensure they meet quality standards and drawing specifications.
* Remove burrs and ensure all components are clearly identified.
* Complete production paperwork accurately and record stock usage where required.
* Prepare and palletise finished products for the next stage of production.
* Carry out routine machine and tooling maintenance checks.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
* Follow all company quality, health and safety, and environmental procedures.
* Report any quality, safety, or equipment issues promptly.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues and support production targets.
* Carry out additional duties within your level of competence as required by the Team Leader or Management.
Requirements
* Previous experience operating CNC press machinery within a manufacturing environment.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD specifications.
* Experience setting and operating CNC press equipment.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Ability to work independently and safely while meeting production targets.
* Good organisational skills and accurate completion of production documentation.
* Flexible approach with a willingness to support other production activities when required.
* Commitment to maintaining high standards of housekeeping and workplace safety.
* Forklift licence is desirable but not essential.
* Willingness to participate in ongoing training and continuous development.
Working Hours
Monday to Thursday 7:00am - 4:00pm
Friday 7:00am - 11:00am
