HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Plant & Fleet Fitter Wigan | £19.85 per hour + Excellent Overtime | Permanent Aspired Talent are looking for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Plant & Fleet Fitter to join one of our well-established engineering clients based in Wigan. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a permanent position with a company that offers long-term stability, plenty of overtime and the opportunity to work on a varied fleet of specialist vehicles and equipment. Hours of Work Monday to Friday 7:30am - 5:30pm Overtime available Overtime paid at 1.5x your hourly rate Any overtime worked over 12 hours per week is paid at double time Pay £19.85 per hour Excellent overtime earning potential The Role Working from a modern workshop, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of fleet and plant equipment to ensure it remains safe, reliable and fully operational. Duties include: Servicing and repairing HGVs, trailers and specialist plant equipment. Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults. Carrying out planned servicing and preventative maintenance. Repairing generators, lighting towers and other plant machinery. Completing repairs to a high standard whilst following health and safety procedures. Occasionally attending breakdowns across the UK when required. The Ideal Candidate Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Plant Fitter, Fleet Fitter or Workshop Technician. Mechanical engineering qualification or time-served experience. Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems. A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail. Experience working on heavy plant or lifting equipment would be advantageous but is not essential. Benefits Annual company bonus. Company pension. Monthly employee rewards platform.
