Line Up Aviation is recruiting on behalf of a leading UK aviation maintenance organisation for an experienced B1 Licensed Engineer to join its Base Maintenance team in Prestwick.

The Role
As a B1 Licensed Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out certification activities within the scope of your licence and company authorisations, ensuring aircraft maintenance is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
Working closely with Production, Planning and Maintenance teams, you will play an integral role in delivering aircraft safely, on time and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out certification of aircraft maintenance in accordance with licence privileges and approved procedures.
Supervise personnel assigned to the aircraft or maintenance zone, working alongside the leading mechanic.
Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently and within agreed turnaround times.
Identify and report technical issues that may impact aircraft delivery.
Complete accurate maintenance documentation and effective shift handovers.
Identify spare part requirements to minimise maintenance delays.
Maintain accurate production updates, including aircraft progress, critical tasks and maintenance timescales.
Promote a positive safety culture, ensuring compliance with Human Factors, Health & Safety and Part 145 requirements.
Raise safety reports where hazards or incidents are identified.
Work collaboratively with Production, Planning, Safety and Compliance teams.
Essential Requirements
Current UK CAA B1 Licence.
EASA B1 Licence desirable.
At least one current type rating with six months' recency within the last two years on one or more of the following aircraft:
A320 (preferred)
A330
B737
B787
Previous commercial aircraft Base Maintenance experience.
Recognised aircraft engineering apprenticeship, diploma or equivalent qualification.
Good understanding of airworthiness regulations, Part 145 procedures, MOE requirements, MEL and aircraft technical documentation.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
