Job Description:
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in optimising manufacturing processes with our current portfolio, ensuring the highest quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes for aerospace components.
* Collaborate with customers and cross functional teams to ensure value add engineering is applied to all our product
* Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve production issues.
* Utilise lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
* Create and maintain detailed documentation, including process flow diagrams, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
* Monitor and analyse production metrics to identify areas for improvement.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including AS9100 and ISO 9001.
* Provide technical support to production staff.
* Participate in cross-functional teams to drive innovation and process improvements.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably in the aerospace industry.
* Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues at all levels.
* Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, including AS9100 and ISO 9001 would be beneficial
