Production Technology Engineer

Job Title: Production Engineer Salary: £40,000–£50,000 Location: Glasgow Key Responsibilities Support and optimise production processes to improve efficiency, quality, and output Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste, downtime, and manufacturing costs Provide technical support to production teams and assist with troubleshooting manufacturing issues Monitor production performance and analyse data to identify opportunities for improvement Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams to ensure smooth production flow Assist with the introduction of new products, equipment, and manufacturing processes Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, and operational standards Skills & Experience Previous experience in a Production Engineer or similar manufacturing engineering role Strong understanding of production processes and manufacturing principles Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Engineering degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent qualification preferred
