The Opportunity
We're recruiting for an experienced Environment & Sustainability Manager to join one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects - Sizewell C.
This is a unique opportunity to play a key leadership role on a nationally critical programme supporting the UK's Net Zero ambitions, delivering clean, reliable energy to millions of homes.
You'll be at the forefront of environmental compliance and sustainability strategy, shaping standards and driving best practice across a complex, highly regulated construction environment.
The Role
As Environment & Sustainability Manager, you will:
Lead environmental and sustainability performance across the site and supply chain
Ensure compliance with environmental permits, consents, and licences
Drive a strong environmental culture across Tier 1 contractors and project teams
Engage with key external stakeholders, including regulators such as the Environment Agency
Oversee environmental inspections, monitoring, and reporting activities
Develop and implement KPIs to drive continuous improvement
Lead investigations and ensure learnings are embedded across the project
Manage and develop a team, providing clear leadership and direction
Key Requirements
Proven experience leading environmental teams on large-scale infrastructure or construction projects
Strong knowledge of environmental compliance, permits, and regulatory frameworks
Experience working in highly regulated industries (e.g., nuclear, energy, major infrastructure)
Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management capability
Strong understanding of ISO 14001 Environmental Management systems
Degree qualified in an environmental or related discipline
