SEN Teaching Assistant – Oxted
Location: Oxted, Surrey
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: September 2026 (or sooner)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Protocol Education is currently seeking a caring, patient, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Oxted.
This rewarding role involves supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential in a nurturing educational environment.
The Role
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEN.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities.
- Support pupils with a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH).
- Encourage positive behaviour and promote independence.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Monitor and record pupil progress where required.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.
- A patient, compassionate, and resilient approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
- Experience in education, care, youth work, support work, or similar settings is beneficial.
- Relevant qualifications are welcomed but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
