SEMH Teaching Assistant – King's Lynn Location: King's Lynn Job Type: Full-Time Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Ongoing, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position for the right candidate Are you passionate about supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? I C Talent is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive school in King's Lynn, seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This is a full-time, ongoing role with the potential to become permanent for the right person. You'll be supporting either primary or secondary-aged pupils, helping them to overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential within a nurturing educational environment. The Role: * Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs. * Help create a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment. * Support students both in and out of the classroom. * Work closely with teachers and the wider pastoral team to implement individual support strategies. * Build positive relationships that encourage emotional regulation and personal development. The Ideal Candidate: * Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH, SEND, or challenging behaviour is desirable. * A calm, patient, and resilient approach. * Strong communication and relationship-building skills. * A genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of young people. * Relevant qualifications are beneficial but not essential – attitude and experience are key.
