HGV Class 2 Driver

The Best Connection is currently recruiting for a Class 2 Driver to join a busy and well-established client based in Newport. This is a great opportunity for an experienced driver looking for ongoing work with the potential to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period. You will be working as part of a professional team, carrying out deliveries in a safe and efficient manner while representing the company to customers. Duties will include: Driving a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle Delivering building materials to customers and sites Loading and unloading materials, ensuring safe handling at all times Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects Ensuring all deliveries are completed accurately and on time Providing good customer service at delivery points Adhering to all driving and working time regulations£14.50 per hour 07:30 starts Requirements: Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence Valid CPC and Digi Tacho card Previous experience delivering building materials (preferred but not essential) Good knowledge of driving regulations and road safety Reliable and professional attitude Good communication skills Benefits of working for The Best Connection: Weekly pay Holiday entitlement (accrued) Pension contributions Ongoing assignments Possible permanent opportunities 24/7 support from your local branch The Best Connection is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy
