Mechanical Fitter

Peterborough Salary - Negotiable DOE Monday - Friday days. Your new role: Based in Peterborough, you will be joining the UK's leading water/ clean water equipment and processing manufacturing business, who now, due to continued growth, are looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join their engineering team on a 12 month fixed term contract.Offering a range of industry-leading benefits, including private healthcare, a generous holiday allowance and other perks, this is an excellent time to join this fast-expanding company in a hands-on maintenance role! Key Responsibilities & Duties: Assemble, install, maintain, and repair mechanical components to ensure optimal equipment functionality. Perform refurbishment and fabrication of parts and equipment Calibrate and validate instruments to maintain accuracy and compliance Work independently or collaboratively with qualified fitters, fabricators, welders, and electricians on larger projects Quality inspection of equipment, machinery and parts.This is just a summed-up list, and other duties will be required. Skills & Experience required: Previous experience in a similar Mechanical fitting/assembly/ fabrication role Experience in a similar fast-paced factory/plant environment Ability to read and understand technical drawings Experience and ability to use handheld machinery, equipment and tools.
