Senior Geotechnical Engineer Edinburgh First People Solutions is recruiting for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join one of the largest and most experienced multi-disciplinary consulting engineers in the UK. With a long history and strong network, they provide innovative and sustainable solutions for a range of complex projects in various sectors. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a range of geotechnical projects spanning the energy, transportation, industrial, retail, residential and commercial sectors. You'll be contributing to a dynamic and forward-thinking team and playing a key role in their continued success. Job Prepare and check design calculations and specifications for geotechnical works such as pile design, slope stability assessment, bearing capacity, settlement, and earthworks Plan and oversee feasibility studies and ground investigations from site for a wide range of schemes Assist directors / managers with bid preparation and business development Mentor junior engineers and review their technical work What we're looking for Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geology or equivalent Chartered status prepared or close to (CEng, CGeol) 5-10 years of experience working within a design engineering consultancy in the UK Knowledge of geotechnical principles and standards Experience of modelling software such as Holebase, Slide, Settle 3D, and Wallap Full UK driving licence What's in it for you?
