Contracts Manager Location: Westminster, London (Hybrid - 2 days per week onsite, Tuesday mandatory) Contract Length: 6 Months Day Rate: neg An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Contracts Manager to join a large and prestigious public sector organisation responsible for managing a complex and diverse portfolio of contracts across a nationally significant estate. This organisation delivers a wide range of services and transformational programmes, supporting a high-profile environment with an annual spend exceeding £1 billion. As part of an ambitious commercial function undergoing significant growth and development, you will play a key role in driving contract performance, supplier relationships, and value for money across a varied contract portfolio. The successful Contracts Manager will work closely with stakeholders across multiple directorates, ensuring effective contract management practices are embedded and delivering measurable commercial outcomes. As the Contracts Manager your key responsibilities will include Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of contract management strategies across assigned business areas. Provide expert contract management support and guidance to contract managers and stakeholders. Build strong business partnering relationships, enabling contract owners to successfully manage supplier performance and contractual obligations. Lead and support contract negotiations in line with governance requirements and organisational policies. Deliver contract performance reporting, insights, and portfolio management information. Monitor contract expiry pipelines and support renewal, replacement, and exit planning activities. Support procurement, transition, and mobilisation activities to ensure effective contract management from contract award onwards. Develop and deliver contract management training, guidance, tools, and best practice resources. Promote effective use of contract management systems, data, and reporting to improve commercial decision-making. Develop and maintain productive relationships with suppliers, government bodies, and internal stakeholders. As the Contracts Manager you will be a proactive, organised, and collaborative commercial professional with strong contract management expertise and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Essential Skills & Experience Significant experience managing complex contracts, frameworks, and supplier relationships. Strong understanding of contract management methodologies and best practice. Experience working within large, complex organisations or public sector environments. Excellent stakeholder management and business partnering skills. Proven ability to negotiate and influence both internally and externally. Experience monitoring contract performance and delivering management information and reporting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment. Desirable Experience Construction, refurbishment, maintenance, or security-related contracts. Digital and technology services. Corporate or professional services. Facilities management (hard or soft FM). Catering and hospitality services. Heritage or estate-related services.
