Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our commercial team. You will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for aluminium curtain walling, glazing systems, windows, doors, and associated façade packages. This is a key role supporting the growth of the business through winning profitable work and ensuring robust tender submissions. Key Responsibilities * Prepare detailed cost estimates for aluminium and glass façade systems * Review architectural drawings, specifications, and tender documentation * Carry out accurate material take-offs and quantify façade components * Obtain, assess, and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations * Produce competitive tender submissions within deadlines * Identify value engineering opportunities to improve project margins * Liaise with design, procurement, and project delivery teams * Support technical queries during tender and pre-contract stages * Maintain awareness of market pricing, systems, and industry trends * Assist with handover to project management upon successful bids Requirements * Proven experience as an Estimator within façades, glazing, or curtain walling * Strong understanding of aluminium systems and glass façade construction * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications * Excellent numerical, analytical, and commercial skills * Strong attention to detail and accuracy * Proficient in Microsoft Excel (estimating software experience advantageous) * Strong communication and negotiation skills * Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment Desirable Experience * Experience with leading façade systems (e.g., Schüco, Reynaers, Kawneer) * Background working for a specialist subcontractor or façade contractor * Knowledge of BIM / 3D coordination processes Benefits * Salary £36,000 – £40,000 (depending on experience) * Opportunity to grow within an expanding specialist contractor * Training and development opportunities * Pension scheme * Holiday allowance plus bank holidays For more information or to apply, please contact Dana at Chase Taylor, quoting reference MM6610
