CAD Technician

JOB – CAD Technician LOCATION – Nottingham  TERM – Permanent SALARY – Competitive Salary The CAD Technician will ideally have the following attributes: • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience using Revit MEP in a building services consultancy or contractor environment • Strong understanding of mechanical and/or electrical building services systems • Proficient in Revit MEP and AutoCAD (Navisworks experience desirable) • Good knowledge of BIM processes and coordination principles • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines • Team-focused, with strong communication and problem-solving skills • Understanding of BIM processes and ISO 19650 standards would be advantageous • Knowledge of Navisworks, Dynamo, or other related tools would be advantageous The CAD Technician role will involve: • Developing and maintaining detailed 2D and 3D models of mechanical and electrical building services using AutoCAD and Revit • Staying up-to-date with the latest AutoCAD and Revit software developments and applying company standards consistently across all work • Contributing to the ongoing development and implementation of Revit processes and best practices throughout the business • Coordinating design work with other disciplines through regular collaboration and face-to-face meetings, ensuring accuracy and integration across all project elements • Managing the flow of design information for assigned projects, ensuring timely and accurate communication both internally and externally • Delivering high-quality work within agreed deadlines, maintaining attention to detail and adherence to project requirements • Supporting engineers in producing high-quality 3D models and coordinated drawings using Revit MEP and AutoCAD • Working as part of a multidisciplinary design team on projects from early design stages through to completion, helping to deliver accurate and efficient BIM outputs to support project delivery If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible.
