SEN Tribunals and Mediation Officer (Remote) PAYE: £320.33 per day Limited/Umbrella: £421.24 per day We are recruiting for an experienced SEN Tribunals and Mediation Officer to support a local authority on a remote basis. The successful candidate will have extensive experience managing Special Educational Needs (SEN) appeals and mediations, providing expert support throughout the tribunal process. Key Responsibilities: Managing a caseload of SEND Tribunal appeals Preparing responses, evidence bundles, and case documentation Attending and representing the local authority at hearings Participating in Judicial Alternative Dispute Resolution (JADR) sessions Attending Tribunal Case Management Hearings (TCMHs) Leading and supporting mediation processes to achieve positive outcomes Liaising with parents, schools, legal representatives, and key stakeholders Providing advice and guidance on SEND legislation, regulations, and tribunal procedures Requirements: Proven experience in SEND Tribunal and mediation work Strong understanding of SEND legislation and the tribunal process Experience attending hearings, JADRs, TCMHs, and mediations Excellent case management, negotiation, and communication skills Ability to work autonomously in a fully remote environment This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEND Tribunal professional to join a supportive team and make a meaningful impact in achieving positive outcomes for children and young people with special educational needs.
