Role: Mechanical Associate - Building Services (Growing Design Consultancy)
Location: Newcastle
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 + benefits
Are you an experienced Mechanical Associate looking to step into a role with real influence and progression? This growing building design consultancy in Newcastle is expanding its senior leadership team and is seeking a technically strong, commercially aware Mechanical Associate to help drive the next phase of growth.
You'll be joining a forward‑thinking consultancy delivering a diverse portfolio of projects across residential, healthcare, and a range of other interesting and meaningful sectors. With a strong pipeline and a reputation for quality, this is an opportunity to take ownership, lead teams, and shape the future of the Newcastle office.
What you'll be doing
Leading mechanical design delivery across multiple building projects
Managing, mentoring, and developing a team of engineers
Acting as a key client‑facing representative for the business
Overseeing technical standards, quality, and project performance
Supporting bids, proposals, and wider business development
Playing a strategic role in the continued growth of the Newcastle office
What we're looking for
Strong background in mechanical building services design
Experience across residential and/or healthcare projects
Proven ability to lead projects and coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams
Confident communicator with strong client‑facing skills
Chartered or working towards Chartership (CEng)
Ambitious, collaborative, and motivated to help grow a team
