Waste Collector Assignment: Temporary position starting 15th June – October 2026 Pay Rate: £13.26 per hour Location: Plymouth, PL4 Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 06:30–16:15 (37 hours per week) If you enjoy staying active, working outdoors, and being part of a team that helps keep the community clean and green, this seasonal role could be a great fit. About the Role This is a physically demanding, fast‑paced position that requires good stamina and a positive, can‑do attitude. You’ll be responsible for loading and unloading waste bins, with flexibility to support other collections when needed. Expect plenty of fresh air and movement, the role regularly involves high step counts and working outdoors in all weather conditions. Requirements Recent experience in a similar role / manual labour or manual handling (within the last 6 months). Ability to commit to the working hours and arrive on site before the 06:30 crew departure. Strong teamwork skills - communication, reliability, and a cooperative attitude are essential to keep collections running smoothly and safely. Ability to complete all required compliance and referencing checks.
