Section Engineer

Section Engineer Devonport, Southwest England 12 month contract (inside IR35) We're recruiting for a Section Engineer to join a major infrastructure project in Devonport. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role on a complex, high-profile scheme within a collaborative delivery environment. The Role You will take ownership of a section of works, ensuring construction is delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards. Working in a client-facing capacity, you'll coordinate site teams and subcontractors while supporting overall project performance. Key Responsibilities Oversee site activities, subcontractors, and daily coordination of works Ensure compliance with health & safety, RAMS, and site procedures Review technical drawings and documentation, raising RFIs/TQs/NCRs as required Manage risks and support planning/programming of works Engage with stakeholders and contribute to reporting and project delivery About You Minimum 2+ years' experience in a site-based engineering role Strong understanding of construction methods and project environments Confident communicator with the ability to manage stakeholders and teams IT proficient (MS Office; planning/document systems) Qualifications: Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) CSCS card (essential) SMSTS/IOSH, BIM or planning software experience (desirable) Interested?
