️ Mechanical Design Engineer - Building Services 📍 Cheshire, Northwest 💰Up to £50,000 + bonuses The Opportunity Hays are representing a well established M&E Building Services Contractor to recruit an Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing design team.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2-5 years' experience looking to gain broader project exposure, develop technically, and progress into a senior or lead engineering position. The Role You'll support the delivery of mechanical building services design across a range of commercial projects, working closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams. This role offers a strong blend of technical design, coordination, and project exposure, making it ideal for someone wanting to develop into a well-rounded engineer. Key Responsibilities Assist in coordinating mechanical design activities across multiple projects Track design progress and manage key deliverables HVAC design and calculations Support production of mechanical layouts, schematics, and technical documentation Carry out design reviews and quality checks Maintain accurate design records and documentation Attend design meetings and follow up on actions Ensure clear communication across project teamsAbout You Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) 2-5 years' experience in mechanical / building services design Understanding of HVAC, heating & cooling, and drainage systems Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools (desirable) Strong organisational and communication skills What's in it for you?
