Your new company

This is a unique opportunity to join an organisation operating at the forefront of corporate governance, audit, and financial reporting. You'll be part of a specialist team responsible for investigating and progressing complex disciplinary matters, which has a direct impact on maintaining professional standards and safeguarding the wider public interest.



Your new role

You will join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team working on investigations, many of which are complex and involve coordination with major regulatory bodies.

Key responsibilities will include:




  • \t
  • Working within case teams alongside forensic accountants, lawyers and legal assistants


\t

Taking ownership of discrete areas within investigations and progressing matters through to resolution


\t

Supporting on case strategy and helping drive investigations forward


\t

Reviewing complex financial, audit and actuarial material in collaboration with forensic specialists


\t

Analysing and preparing evidence for use in enforcement proceedings


\t

Assisting with the instruction and management of external counsel, experts and other third parties


\t

Supporting preparation for tribunal hearings, including attendance where required


\t

Conducting legal and policy research and advising on developments impacting enforcement activity


\t

Drafting legal documents, managing disclosure processes and preparing case materials


\t

Monitoring budgets and contributing to effective case management


\t

Supporting and mentoring more junior team members





What you'll need to succeed

To be considered, you will:




  • \t
  • Be a qualified solicitor or barrister in England & Wales with at least 2 years' PQE


\t

Have experience in regulatory law and/or commercial litigation


\t

Demonstrate strong legal and analytical skills


\t

Have excellent written and verbal communication abilities


\t

Show sound judgement and a proactive, self-driven approach


\t

Be highly organised with strong case and project management skills


\t

Be comfortable working under pressure and to deadlines


\t

Have a genuine interest in public interest and regulatory work


\t

Be a strong team player with the ability to collaborate across disciplines
