Are you an experienced CMM Programmer, Senior Inspector or Inspection Team Leader looking to take your career to the pinnacle of motorsport?

We're supporting a leading Formula One team in the search for a Mechanical Inspection Team Leader to join their Quality Assurance department. This is a rare opportunity to combine hands-on technical inspection with leadership responsibilities in one of the world's most demanding engineering environments.

You'll remain actively involved in advanced metrology and CMM programming while leading and developing a highly skilled inspection team responsible for ensuring every component meets the exacting standards required for Formula One performance.

What You'll Be Doing

✔ Leading the day-to-day activities of the Mechanical Inspection team

✔ Programming and operating CMMs using PC-DMIS

✔ Conducting dimensional inspection of precision-machined components

✔ Interpreting complex engineering drawings and GD&T specifications

✔ Supporting quality investigations and root cause analysis

✔ Coordinating inspection priorities to support manufacturing schedules

✔ Mentoring and developing inspectors within the department

✔ Driving continuous improvement across inspection processes and reporting

Skills & Experience Required

✔ Strong background in Mechanical Inspection, Metrology or Quality Inspection

✔ Hands-on experience programming CMMs using PC-DMIS

✔ Excellent understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings

✔ Experience within precision engineering, motorsport, aerospace, automotive or advanced manufacturing environments

✔ Strong knowledge of machining processes and manufacturing methods

✔ Previous experience leading, mentoring or coordinating inspection teams

✔ Experience using ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, IFS or similar

Desirable

• Formula One or Motorsport experience

• PolyWorks experience

• Quality Team Leader or Lead Inspector experience

• Continuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing knowledge
