English Teacher Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire September Start | MPS/UPS Supply Desk is working in partnership with a supportive and highly regarded secondary school in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, to recruit a dedicated and passionate English Teacher for a September start. This role is ideal for an English specialist who is enthusiastic about literature and language, confident in delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons, and committed to helping pupils develop strong communication, analytical, and creative writing skills. The Role As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring a love for reading and writing while supporting pupil progress in both language and literature. Key Responsibilities Planning and delivering engaging English Language and English Literature lessons in line with the National Curriculum Teaching a range of texts including prose, poetry, and drama, fostering critical thinking and interpretation Preparing students for assessments and GCSE English Language & Literature Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment Assessing pupil progress and providing clear, constructive feedback Differentiating lessons to support a range of abilities and learning needs Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, engagement, and achievement Supporting literacy development across the curriculum where appropriate Working collaboratively with the English department and wider school staff Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3 and/or KS4) (ECTs welcome with relevant teaching placements) Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature Confident classroom and behaviour management skills An engaging, enthusiastic, and supportive teaching style Commitment to raising attainment and supporting student progress Availability to start in September Ability to commute to Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire What We Offer Pay in line with MPS/UPS, dependent on experience Long-term teaching opportunities Ongoing support from experienced, local education consultants Access to CPD and training, including safeguarding and behaviour management 24/7 CPD Learning Hub to support professional development Opportunity to work within supportive and well-resourced schools How to Apply If you are an English Teacher seeking a September role in Beaconsfield, we would be delighted to hear from you. | 24/7 Support: All successful applicants will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS check and meet Safer Recruitment standards
