About the role
Technical Support Engineer Location – Sussex
A well-established and growing UK-based technology manufacturer delivering specialist communication and alarm systems to healthcare, custodial and commercial environments across domestic and international markets.
Due to continued expansion, we are seeking an experienced Technical Support Engineer to join our team. Reporting directly to senior management, you will play a key role in delivering technical support services both internally and externally.
The ideal candidate will have an electronics or systems background, along with a solid understanding of IP infrastructure and network-based systems.
Providing technical product support to customers and internal teams via telephone, email and online platforms
Delivering technical training and preparing customer training materials
Testing and configuring products
Assisting with small-batch production activities including testing, configuration and some assembly work
Experience with Ethernet networking and TCP/IP configuration
Familiarity with device configuration software and USB interfaces
Experience using oscilloscopes and digital multimeters
Able to work proactively with minimal supervision and use own initiative
Soldering and rework experience
