Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
• Manage and coordinate site teams, subcontractors and suppliers across all construction activities.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements, including implementation of RAMS and permit systems.
• Monitor progress against programme and proactively manage site issues, delays and risks.
• Coordinate activities with project teams, designers and clients to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Carry out site inspections, quality checks and support testing, commissioning and handover activities.
• Maintain accurate site records and provide regular progress updates and reports.
• Promote a positive safety culture and maintain high standards of housekeeping and site management

Essential Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in a Site Manager role within civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure projects.
• SMSTS qualification.
• Appropriate CSCS card (Manager or Supervisor level).
• First Aid qualification.
• Experience managing site teams and subcontractors.
• Good understanding of health and safety legislation, including CDM regulations.
• Experience reviewing and implementing RAMS, permits and safe systems of work.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and construction programmes.
• Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills.
• Competent using Microsoft Office and digital reporting systems.

Desirable

• Experience delivering projects within the water or wastewater sector.
• Knowledge of civil, mechanical and electrical construction activities.
• Experience working within live operational environments.
• Understanding of NEC contracts and commercial awareness.
