About the role
HR Officer
We're looking for an experienced HR Officer to join our client's business on an initial temporary basis. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will support all aspects of HR, including employee relations, recruitment, payroll, compliance, and training. This is a varied role offering the opportunity to make a real impact across the organisation.
The role
As HR Officer, you will manage day-to-day HR activities, provide support to managers and employees, oversee recruitment and payroll processes, maintain HR records, and ensure compliance with employment legislation and GDPR requirements.
The main responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day HR operations.
- Support disciplinaries, grievances, and performance management processes.
- Monitor sickness absence and employee wellbeing.
- Coordinate recruitment activities and attract new talent.
- Maintain HR records, policies, and employee files.
- Support staff training and development initiatives.
- Provide HR advice and guidance to managers.
- Produce HR reports and management information.
- Oversee payroll administration and timesheet analysis.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, GDPR, and company policies.
The ideal candidate
- CIPD or third-level qualification in HR.
- Previous experience in a HR generalist or Officer role.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced industry.
- Knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Experience of recruitment and payroll processes.
- Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and HR/Payroll related systems.
