This position is for an early‑to‑mid‑level Engineer who will take on technical challenges across feasibility studies, long‑range planning, schematic and design development, construction documents and construction support.
Responsibilities
- Organise, assign and delegate engineering and design tasks to produce construction documents with a team of engineers and designers.
- Manage scope, budget and schedule to meet project goals.
- Coordinate and collaborate with mechanical, civil, architectural and process disciplines to develop designs.
- Independently lead plant design activities and coordinate with multi‑discipline designers.
- Display strong communication and interpersonal skills; work in a fast‑paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
- Responsible for detailed design of structures in steel, concrete and masonry in accordance with BS, EN and international codes.
- Use a wide range of design software and supporting hand calculations.
- Liaise with REVIT & CAD technicians to produce quality design deliverables.
- Exercise judgment in developing plans or alternatives and work with teams to assure quality plans.
- Perform field activities such as observation of construction activities.
- Review construction submittals for conformance with contract intent and design documents.
Requirements
- Honours degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (FETAC Level 8 minimum).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in structural engineering design.
- Chartered Structural Engineer or working towards chartership.
- Good knowledge of Eurocode and international codes (US and India codes are a bonus).
- Experience in structural design software.
Preferred Requirements
- Strong relevant engineering/design experience in industrial/advanced technology sector or large‑scale industrial.
- Design experience in reinforced concrete, steelwork, masonry, foundation design.
- Proactive approach to solving problems with an ability to adapt to changing scenarios.
- Excellent English (written and spoken).
- Ability to interact with other engineering disciplines, clients and vendors at all levels.
