Children's Social Worker – Family Safeguarding Team 📍 Worthing, West Sussex 💷 £38.00 per hour 🏡 Hybrid Working Available 🚗 Must Be a Driver We are currently recruiting for an experienced Children's Social Worker to join the Family Safeguarding Team in West Sussex. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well-established safeguarding service focused on improving outcomes for vulnerable children and families through high-quality assessment, intervention and child protection work. The Role As a Children's Social Worker, you will be responsible for: * Completing assessments of need and risk * Undertaking child protection investigations * Developing and reviewing care plans * Working directly with children and families * Managing complex safeguarding cases * Working closely with partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes * Supporting children to remain safely within their families wherever possible Requirements To be considered, applicants must have: * Social Work England registration * Minimum 3 years' post-qualified experience within Local Authority Children's Services in England * Recent frontline Child Protection experience * Strong assessment and risk management skills * Experience completing direct work with children * Excellent multi-agency working experience * Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle Working Arrangements * Full-time position * Civic Centre, Littlehampton office base * Office-based during duty week * Hybrid flexibility available outside of duty weeks * Travel required across the western area of West Sussex Pay £38.00 per hour.
