- Onsite Job Type : Permanent Salary: Up to £45k (depending on experience) About the Role Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Production Manager will take full ownership of manufacturing leadership, performance, safety, quality and continuous improvement across the operation.
Leading a close-knit production team of 8, you'll ensure customer orders are delivered safely, on time, to specification and profitably, while building manufacturing capability to support the company's continued growth.
This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives on independent ownership and delivery.
What You'll Be Doing Lead and develop a small production team, driving performance and accountability Plan and manage production schedules, resources and workflow to meet customer demand Own health & safety standards across the manufacturing operation Maintain and improve quality management systems in line with ISO 9001 Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma methodology Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications to guide production Support process and product development, including new product introduction Act as a key member of the management team, shaping the future of the operation What We're Looking For Essential: Based in the UK with the legal right to work in the UK Proven experience as a Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Operations Manager or similar leadership role Strong background in manufacturing and production environments Experience managing production planning, scheduling and resource allocation Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement experience Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Excellent organisational xwzovoh and communication skills Strong understanding of health, safety, quality and operational performance Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications Understanding of ISO 9001 quality management systems Desirable: Experience within sensor manufacturing, instrumentation, electronics assembly or industrial manufacturing Knowledge of RTDs, thermocouples, mineral insulated assemblies or related technologies Experience supporting new product introduction and manufacturing process development Degree in Manufacturing Engineering If this sounds like the right move for you, apply now.
