Private Client (Eng) Solicitor (1-3 years') – Edinburgh

A progressive UK law firm is looking to appoint an English Qualified Solicitor (1-3 years' PQE) to join its Contentious Private Client team in Edinburgh.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Litigation Solicitor looking to develop a specialist practice within private client disputes, working alongside an experienced and supportive team on a broad range of complex matters.

You  will advise individuals, executors, trustees and families on a variety of contentious private client matters, while also gaining exposure to wider litigation work connected to wealth, estates and succession planning.

The Role

The position offers varied and interesting work, including:

• Advising on estate and trust disputes
• Assisting with mediation, negotiated settlements and court proceedings
• Drafting legal documentation, pleadings and witness statements
• Conducting legal research and preparing advice for clients
• Working closely with colleagues across litigation and private client teams
• Supporting client relationship management and business development activity
• Contributing to the continued growth of the wider disputes practice

About You

Applicants should ideally have:

• 
  
• 1-3 years’ PQE within litigation or dispute resolution
• An interest in contentious private client work
• Strong drafting, organisational and communication skills
• A proactive and collaborative approach
• The ability to manage competing priorities effectively
• Commercial awareness and strong attention to detail

Experience in contentious trusts and probate matters or ADR would be advantageous but is not essential. xwzovoh
