Requirements

  • Solid problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Extensive experience supporting the Windows desktop environment and Microsoft 365 suite
  • Confident fault diagnosis across technologies and platforms, with experience resolving issues within agreed SLAs
  • Experience working in a change‑managed environment
  • Ability to act as a technical escalation point for incidents
  • Experience creating technical documentation
  • Ability to translate business and operational requirements into effective solutions
  • Experience with Windows Server 2016 through 2022
  • Desirable experience with Intune, Active Directory, SQL, SharePoint, Power Platform, Entra ID, Azure Cloud Services, HubSpot, or MRI

Responsibilities

  • Take technical leadership for at least one core business system and provide cover for other team members when required
  • Plan and deliver project work, including design and service improvement activities
  • Create and maintain accurate technical documentation
  • Support infrastructure and systems operations across all sites
  • Ensure patch management systems are robust and effective
  • Administer Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Exchange, Intune, HubSpot, the MRI Suite, and Citrix
  • Administer, renew, and upgrade systems in line with industry, security, and firm policy requirements
  • Test and onboard new systems and infrastructure
  • Identify risks, record them in the IT risk register, and create mitigation plans where appropriate
  • Work with our MSP to keep the hosted estate, LAN, and WAN infrastructure current and performing correctly
  • Provide technical support through incident, change, and problem management procedures
  • Work with the Service Delivery Team and vendors to resolve escalated tickets
  • Analyse and troubleshoot system and application issues to identify root cause and prevent recurrence
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents using tools such as Microsoft Defender and SIEM
  • Manage vulnerabilities within required timelines
  • Contribute to the development of our security culture
  • Act as a point of escalation for complex incidents and ensure timely resolution
  • Deliver exceptional customer service with professionalism and clear communication
  • Log, prioritise, and manage incidents and service requests through our ITSM platform
  • Contribute to IT policies, procedures, and technical documentation
