About the role
Based in Chorley, with the offering of home working, our Client is looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join a small finance team on a permanent basis. Based within the service sector, the role reports directly to the finance manager and will manage all aspects of Credit Control. We are looking to identify a strong communicator and someone who will take control of the ledger by forging solid relationships with their customers, as well as others within the organisation.
TO BE CONSIDERED YOU MUST BE RESIDING IN THE UK AND WITHIN THE LOCAL AREA OF THIS ROLE, HAVE RECENT AND RELEVANT UK BASED EXPERIENCE, AND HAVE THE FULL RIGHT TO WORK IN THE UK.
Salary and Benefits:
- A salary of up to £35,000

- 25 days annual leave per year
Your New Role as the Credit Controller:
Taking the lead on all aspects of Credit Control you shall work autonomously and manage you own workload. Working on a hybrid basis, you shall visit the office for meetings and where required, ensuring the tasks in hand are completed in a timely manner and all records kept clen and accurate.
Main role duties:
Managing the ledgers, chasing outstanding debt, maintaining accurate records.
Forging long lasting relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure that customers pay on time.
Managing internal tracking of customer orders, dealing with queries, payments and legal requirements where required.
Setting and managing credit limits in line with company policy
Experience and Skills Required to Apply:
To be considered for this role you shall have a proven track record in a stand alone credit control role. With over 3 years experince within Credit Control you shall have a clear understanding of managing debt, with the ability to communicate effectively, clearly and with purpose. With excellent customer service skills you will also have the ability to listen and negotiate where required. Able to work autonomously, as well as within a team you will also have a solid understanding of legal requirements in the credit space.
