You'll be joining a service for adult men aged 18+ who may have a forensic background and face enduring mental health challenges such as personality disorders, substance misuse issues, and challenging behaviours. What you will do
Participate fully with the multidisciplinary team, encouraging service users to engage actively in their care pathways.
Manage and coordinate the implementation of individual treatment plans for occupational therapy services, ensuring treatments, activities, and interventions are delivered effectively.
Maintain accurate and timely records of each patient's rehabilitation and progress.
Efficiently manage and support junior staff, fostering a culture of development and teamwork.
Support clinical team working, providing direct interventions and delivering engaging staff training programmes.
To be successful in this role, you will need
To be qualified and registered as an Occupational Therapist.
At least 3 years post-qualifying experience.
Experience in assessing individuals using various psychometrics and risk assessment tools.
The ability to work therapeutically, engaging individuals in developing insight and coping skills to manage their complex needs.
Experience in supervising and managing junior staff members.
A full and clean UK driving licence.
