About the Role

Are you an experienced and confident HLTA looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking dedicated High-Level Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Kettering and the surrounding areas.

As an HLTA, you will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. You will work closely with class teachers and SENCOs, delivering targeted interventions, covering lessons when required, and providing tailored support to help pupils achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Lead small-group interventions across core curriculum subjects.
  • Provide targeted support for pupils with additional needs, including SEN and EAL.
  • Support learning on a one-to-one and small-group basis.
  • Contribute to lesson planning, assessment, and pupil progress tracking.
  • Promote positive behaviour and create an engaging learning environment.

Requirements

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience working within a primary school setting.
  • Confidence in leading whole-class learning when required.
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
  • A proactive, flexible, and supportive approach to education.
