Campervan Conversion Technician / Fabricator We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of Campervan Conversion Technician / Fabricator in Wallington. Benefits of a Campervan Conversion Technician / Fabricator: * Competitive salary ranging from £30,000 to £40,500 per annum, dependent on experience * Potential for overtime pay * Flexible working hours, including options for early starts, late finishes, and Saturday shifts * 20 days holiday plus bank holidays * Pension scheme and SSP provisions * Opportunity to work on various vehicle platforms, including VW, Sprinter, Transit, and more * Ongoing career development within a friendly, dedicated team * Exposure to a variety of projects, from classic to modern campervans Duties of a Campervan Conversion Technician / Fabricator: * Building and maintaining campervans, encompassing mechanical, electrical, and interior fit-out tasks * Conducting engine conversions, brake system repairs, and general servicing * Fabricating and welding aluminium and steel components for bespoke campervan builds * Installing and maintaining 12V electrical systems, including wiring and electrical components * joinery and cabinetry work for custom interiors * Operating power tools and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently * Ensuring all work adheres to high quality standards to produce durable conversions * Handling customer repair, upgrade, and maintenance work as required Requirements of a Campervan Conversion Technician / Fabricator: * Minimum of 2 years' relevant trade experience in vehicle conversions, mechanical repair, or fabrication * Proficient in using power tools and fabrication equipment; welding experience is advantageous * Knowledge of 12V electrical systems and vehicle mechanical tasks * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision * Versatile skill set with strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship * Experience working with campervans, motorhomes, or VW conversions is preferred * Reliable, hardworking, and capable of interpreting technical instructions accurately Contact Liam Buffenbarger, Automotive Recruitment Specialist at Perfect Placement covering Greater London and Surrey today to discover more about this fantastic opportunity.
