Psychology Graduate

Vision for education in Cardiff are actively recruiting psychology and criminology graduates who have an interest in supporting children in a school environment. The role would involve supporting pupils with a variety of learning difficulties and the school are looking for an enthusiastic, bubbly and passionate individual to join their team.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting primary aged pupils with a variety of learning and behavioural difficulties on a 1:1 and on a small group basis.
  • Assisting pupils diagnosed with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down's Syndrome, Sensory Processing and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
  • Getting to know your student, developing wellbeing plans, and recognising patterns of behaviours to best engage your pupils with their learning objectives.

Qualifications

  • Graduating from university in the near future or currently studying psychology or criminology.
  • Real desire to implement learning to help pupils overcome their barriers.
  • Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain.
  • Completed safeguarding course.
  • Right to Work in the UK.
  • If you have been out of the country for longer than six months in the last five years, you will need a valid clearance check from said country.
